MEMBER HINT:
HAPPY WALKER WORKED FOR HER
PSPCA member Gretal Roland of the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia had a hard time handling her seven-year-old
Doberman.
Even after going through obedience training she wasn’t quite able to get her dog to stop pulling on its lead.
After trying a training device called the Happy Walker, Roland said that her problems were over. The Happy Walker
is a training device that attaches well to most woven leashes. Nylon works well. When the dog starts to forge ahead
or pulls too hard on the leash, it emits and audible tone that the dog doesn't like and he soon learns that if
he doesn't pull there will be no sound. Using a stern command at the same time as the sound starts on the first
few walks also helps the dog to learn the desired behavior. The Happy Walker will reset automatically after each
pull. Adjust the tension to allow more or less pull on the leash by sliding the attaching rings closer together
for less pull or farther apart to allow more pull by the dog.
The product was effective and humane in Gretal’s case, and she wanted to pass the word along to her fellow PSPCA
mem- bers who might be having the same prob- lem. The Happy Walker is available in pet supply stores.

BROCKTON ANIMAL CONTROL DEPARTMENT:
I am writing you this note to say
"Thank you" for such a great product. The Super Barker Breaker has really worked wonders on our dog.
It is like having a new dog. We can leave him out and not have to worry whether he is going to bother the neighbors
or not. And we don’t have to leave him in the basement when we are not home.
I am the supervisor at the Brockton Animal Control Department and you can’t imagine the number of complaints we
get each day, week, month or year and now I have an answer to give to owners who have nuisance barking dogs.
I want to thank you again for the brochures that you sent on my request and you can be sure that they will be handed
out to dog owners who need them.
Your suggestion that the neighbors of barking dogs also use the Super Barker Breaker and get some relief from these
nuisance barkers, will also be passed on to them.
Again, thank you.

GOOD DOG REVIEW:
What is Scraminal? It’s a 5"
by 3" rectangular device that teaches your dog not to jump up onto a bed or walk into a room where you don’t
want him.
The Scraminal uses a piercing sound to send your dog away and resets itself automatically. It works by detecting
motion and body heat. It does all this on a 9 volt battery.
When the manufacturer first described it to me, I thought it couldn’t possible work but I had it shipped to us
anyway. When it arrived I looked at the small inconspicuous object and pictured it having a short life span in
my four-dog home.
Well, this little guy works very well. Good Dog test dog, Jake, a 65 pound Gordon Setter, is a black long haired
and loves to roll in dirt like a chicken. Jake has a favorite chair in our family room, light yellow in color.
This was not a canine resting place approved by my husband.
I was planning to have the chair cleaned and thought this would provided a perfect test for the Scraminal. If the
Scraminal could convince this large, set-in-his ways setter not to sleep on that chair after a year of comfort,
it could work miracles.
I positioned the Scramial in the center of the chair, on its low noise level. I approached the chair. The Scraminal
let out its piercing shrink that that could stampede an elephant. Jake left the room.
Later, one of the other dogs entered room and set off the Scraminal from mid-room, a definite false alarm. My husband
went in and turned it so it faced the center of the back of the chair. That way the Scraminal only went off if
a dog actually tried to get up on the chair not when anyone entered the room.
Jake tried to get up on the chair a few more times. The Scraminal screamed. Jake began avoiding the chair. About
a week into this little test, I turned the Scraminal off and put it away. A month later, Jake will still not go
onto the chair.

COL. JONN BLASFORD-SNELL: THE EXPLORERS CLUB:
Dear Sir,
I have just returned from an expedition in Mongolia where we used your "Critter Gitter" to keep wolves
away from our horses at night. It was most successful.
I should like to have three of these splendid devices sent by airmail to my colleague:
Mr. Eric Hotung
6 Black’s Link Road
Hong Kong
I can pay by authorising a charge to my "Visa" or "Diners Club" credit card if this is acceptable
to you.
Please could you advise me. Thank you,
Yours faithfully,
